ClubCorp: The Next Decade – Country Clubs, Business Clubs and Palatial Resorts of the Future

Mark A. Burnett joined ClubCorp in 2006, and has served as its President since July of 2016, and as Chief Operating Officer (COO) since October of 2013. Previously, he worked as ClubCorp’s Executive Vice President of Golf and Country Clubs. Over his tenure as COO, ClubCorp’s profitability has grown each year, with continual record revenue and consistent membership growth. The company has acquired new properties on a rapid pace, and Mr. Burnett has played an important role in ensuring successful closings. His goal is to support a balanced approach to continual company growth, while enhancing the environment for employees and guests, and building value for shareholders.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Burnett has owned and operated a multi-unit territory of Five Guys Enterprises, LLC franchises, served as Chief Operating Officer for American Golf Corporation, and served as President and Chief Executive Officer for KSL Fairways Golf Corporation. He also previously served as Vice President of Operations for Golf Enterprises, Inc.

Mr. Burnett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Indiana University.
